LADY PIPERS

AUSTRALIAN GIRLS’ VISIT NEW ZEALAND’S TREATMENT [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Feb. 4. The eleven remaining members of the Australian Ladies’ Pipe Band deny the suggestion in a Sydney cablegram that they were having an unpleasant time in New Zealand. The manager, Mr Darwin, says that if any of the seven returned girls bad said anything to convey the impression that they had not been well treated by the people of New Zealand, there was no truth in it. The members, including the seven who had gone, had been most hospitably entertained. Their only grievance was against the Government officials.
