ROWING
ARAMOHO CLUB. Great, activity continues at the Aramoho Boating Club’s shed just at present. With fourteen crews training for the Bridges- Double Sculls and regatta crews getting in their preliminary rows the upper course presents an animated appearance. The contest for the Bridges Double Sculls promises to be ercceptionally keen. Even now at the end of the training period it is almost impossible to see the winning crew. Racing starts next Monday night and will continue- all the week and should provide Aramoho residents with some keen sport. Supporters and friends of the club are requested to keep next Wednesday evening clear, when the Social Club will start the series of euchre and dances in the St. Laurence Hall. It is proposed to send D. Mills’ junior crew to Dunedin against the pick of the Dominion. So far they carry an unbeaten record and should give a good account of themselves at the championship meeting. This means extra expense to the club, so next Wednesday’s gathering will need plenty of patronage.
