TURAKINA-WANGAEHU ATHLETIC CLUB. (From the “Chronicle’s” Special Correspondent). The third annual general meeting of the Turakina-AVangaehu Athletic Club was held on Alonday evening, Air A. C. Alajor presiding over a large attendance. The balance sheet showed a credit of £8 10s 6d. The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Air H. Y. Lethbridge; president, Air A. C. Alajor; vicepresidents, Afessrs E. Green (Wangaehu), B. P. Lethbridge, C. J. Dunn and A. Stuart; finance committee, Messrs F. Johnston, J. Kelly, S. Burgess, A. C. Alajor and A. Al. Sims; treasurer, Air S. S. Burgess; secretary, Mr A. AL Sims. The action of Air B. P. Lethbridge in placing at the disposal of the club the health camp grounds was greatly appreciated and he was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. It was decided to hold the annual sports on Saturday, Alarch 20. The chopping events have been allotted £l3O in cash and for the amateur events trophies to the value of £lOO will be given. Schedules of the sports will be obtainable from the secretary (Air A. Al. Sims) -within a few days. A hearty vote of thanks to the chairman concluded one of the most promising and enthusiastic meetings held in Turakina
