There has been considerable destruction of valuable timber between Tumbarumba and Tumut. A BLACK PROSPECT HOLDBROOK TOWN IN DANGER. TWO BIG WALLS OF FLAME. Received Feb. 3, 11.40 p.m. SYDNEY, Feb. 3. Although some bush fires in the Riverina have been checked, two big walls of flame are sweeping towards the town of Holdbrook. Many hundreds of volunteers are fighting the conflagrations, but if it cannot be checked by tonight the two outbreaks w'ill meet and advance on the doomed town with, a thirty miles front.
