THE GRAND THEATRE. SPECIAL TOM MIX MATINEES TO-DAY. The good old days when knights were bold could have been no more exciting than ‘ ‘ The Lucky Horseshoe, ’' the William Fox spectacular photoplay starring Toni Mix, which is being shown for the last times at the Grana Theatre to-day. In this newest Mix thriller, the agile Western star is afforded the opportunity of bringing to lite the romantic and picturesque cnaracter of Don Juan, famed in tact and fiction as one of tlio boldest lovers of old Spain. The colourful background adds a new and distinctive touch to tne remarnablo photoplay, and is a novel departure rrom most western films. Tne lively interest of the film is greatly enhanced by the hazardous feats of daring performed by the star. Lillie Dove plays the leading role oppoito Tom and Ann Pennington, former Ziegfeld “Follies” star, J. Darrell MacDonald, J. Gunnis Davis and Malcolm Waite appearing in the major supporting roles. J. G. Hlystone directed tho production. The supports include a special industrial entitled “Cuba Steps Out,” I’ox News, and a screaming comedy, “Shoes” by U’Henry. The box plan for the final screening to-night is open at Moore’s Sweet Shop, opposite the Grand Theatre.
