ARTIFICIAL WOOL
AN ITALIAN PROCESS
MIXTURE OF WOOL AND WOOD PULP. BRADFORD INTERESTED. By Teleßraph—Per Press Assn.—Copyright Received December 24, 9,35 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 23. Bradford is mainfesting a most lively interest in a story that, Italian patentees are prepared to co-operate with Yorkshire manufacturers in developing a. process for making artificial wool, the details of which are not at present disclosed, beyond a hint that a certain amount of genuine, wool plus wood pulp will be used in it. It is understood that a Bradford group will go to Italy in the New Year to investigate the claims of the process, the capital for -which is said to have been offered fn’Tondon.
Messages frdm Bradford suggest that the process has been evolved from ideas gained in making artificial silk, one type of which is made from silk waste and is said to resemble wool somewhat. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
