Tn overcome the deadlock between the Assembly and the Legislative Council. the Treasurer presented a new Income Tax Bill tn the Assemblv. He said that the rates would be haff those originally proposed, which would have brought in £2*7.000, leaving a surplus of £9OOO. The Bill passed all stages of both Houses.
