The Wellington correspondent nf the ‘‘Now Zealand Herald’* reports that it is stated on good authority that the Hon. H . Downio Stewart will take tho portfolio of Finance and that Mr E. P Lee will bo Minister for Justice in the new Cabinet. The death occurred at Ramarama. Auckland, this week, of Miss Adelaide O Rorkc. aged about 68 years. She was a sister of the late Sir Maurice Rorke, tor many years Speaker of the House of Representatives. She acquired a farm at Ramarama 22 years ago ami had lived there since, superintending the fanning operations herself. Previously she resided at. Mangore. Air Charles Wilson, chief librarian of the General Assembly Library, who on February 1 next will'have complete*! 25 years’ service in that capacity, ha* given notice of his intention to retire as from the end of March next. Mr Wilson hopes, with Mrs Wilson, tn leave for San Francisco at the end nf April, on route fnr Britain, where they will stay some months before returning to the Dominion.
