SWIMMING
GONVILLE CLUB On Wednesday evening next at 7.30. a 25 yards handicap will be swum. As this is the last race for this year it is hoped all members will enter. Ou Sunday morning .Miss Ena Stockley visited the baths and vontuste.i various distances with members of both clubs, and also gave a very instructive demonstration of all inodes of propul sion in the water. The thoughtful action on the part of this Auckland swimmer was greatly appreciated by the members, and at the conclusion of the demonstration Mr. Ciliarlton Pearce voiced the thanks of those present, and eulogised Miss Btockley’s fine sporting spirit. Before the visitor and her mother took their departure, little Miss Anderson, the custodian’s daughter, presented them both with a box of chocolates tied with the club’s colours.
