SHEEP IN DEMAND. TOTAL CLEARANCE EFFECTED. Messrs Dalgcty and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report having a moder ate yarding of sheep and a small entry of cattle at their Feilding sale on Friday. All classes of fat and store sheep sold readily and a total clearance was effected. Sheep.—Fat 2-tooths realised 23s 4d to 26s 2d; fat ewes, 22s 9d; mixed 2tooths, 235; 2-tooth wethers. 20s 5d to 23s 6d; 2-tooth ewes, 25s 4d; 4 and fltooth ewes, small, 23s (id. Cattle.—Store cows brought from 20s to 38s; light fat speyed cows, £6; potter bulls, £4 ss. FAIR SALE FOR CATTLE Afessrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on the Feilding sale as follows: For the final sale of the year we had a very good yarding of both sheep ami cattle. The demand for sheep was keen and everything changed hands at t-n advance on last week’s quotations. Cartie sold fairly well, but big bullocks did not find buyers. Sheep.—Fat wethers realised 29s 7d to 30s; fat 2-tooths, 23s Id to 265; fat ewes, 19s to 23s Id; store 2-tooth ewes, 21s 4d to 24s 9d; 2-tooth wethers, 17s 5d to 23s 6d; 4-tooth wethers, 24s 9d; 4 and 6-tooth ewes, 22s 6d.
