Ernest Barry has received a cabled , challenge from Major Goodsell to ro v for the world’s championship gd the I Parramatta River for £5OO a«ide, r»t from Putney to Mortlake if reasonable expenses are allowed. British scullerare of opinion that as Barry won the championship cn the Parramatta in 1920 and Australians have participated in several contests locally since then, Goodsell ought to waive expenses and come and row on the Thames.
