FRUIT SEASONS
HAWKE’S BAY PROSPECTS [Per Press Association.] HASTINGS, Nov. 12. ! Discussing with a reporter the pre- | sent season’s prospects, Mr Adamson, I orchard inspector for Hawke ’s Bay, ! said that although dry weather prevail--1 cd for some time, the orchards were not ;yet suffering, and under good cultiva- | tion a continuance of dry weather was i unlikely to seriously affect the output. The foliage and fruit were particularly I bright, and the crop prospects were ex- ' ccllent. Small areas were touched by Hast Saturday’s frost, but tho output ! was not seriously affected. A large i number of younger orchards were comi ing into the production stage, and there was every prospect of an increase on 'last year’s crop of apples. He anti- ! cipated that the 1926 season would see ’ a record fruit export from the district.
