INQUEST

CIVIL ENGINEER’S DEATH [Per Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 6. At an inquest into tho death of Benjamin Bagley Couston, civil engineer, of Dunedin, who fell from la motor car in the Waiatu river on October 6, the coroner said a post-mortem examination had revealed that death was not due to drowning, but to laceration of the brain, which would cause instant death. Deceased was a wellknown civil engineer, and bis death would be felt by all classes of the community. The verdict was that death was due to injuries received as a result of falling from a car.
