THE CHARTERIS SENSATION
AN AMERICAN INVENTION EMPHATIC DENIAL TO STORY LONDON, Nov. 3. Brigadier-General Charteris has issued a statement emphatically denying the statements attributed to him with regard to the German corpse factory during his recent visit to America. He said that the allegations that ho invented the kadaver story, altered the captions of a photograph, or used faked material for propaganda purposes were absurd. He explained the whole of the circumstances to the Secretary of State, who was perfectly satisfied.
