DEMANDS APOLOGY FROM MB LYSNAR. [Per Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 3. The Mayor of Christchurch (Rev. J. K. Archer) has sent the following telegram to Mr W. D. Lysnar, Independent Reform candidate for Gisborne: “I. hereby demand within 24 hours, on the platform and in the Press, a withdrawal and apology for your false statements concerning myself.” It is alleged that Mr Lysnar quoted Mr Archer as saying that he would rather pray for a weasel than the King.
