MANAWATU SHOW
PROSPECTS LOOK BRIGHT Everybody interested in the Manawatu Show should now be aware of the alteration of its dates. Owing to the unfortunate clashing of the election with the second day of the show, which is a very important one, the committee deemed it advisable to put the show one day forward. This will cause the election to be on the first show day, Wednesday, November 4, which is usually the slackest day. Instead of the dates being November 3,4, and 5, they will now be November 4,5, 6. Entries are good, the grounds are in excellent condition, space is well booked up, and arrangements are going forward smoothly. The returning officer is making special arrangements for polling booths on the grounds for the convenience of absentee voters and workers on the showgrounds. The Railway Department is, as usual, making complete arrangements for the moving of stock and passengers, and excursion rates will be in force. Any stock entered at the Royal Show as well as Palmerston North will be given special despatch, and what is now required is fine weather coupled with good attendances. These factors will maintain this leading show in its present position. Prospective visitors should see about booking accommodation, as Palmerston North is a full town at show time.
