A STRENUOUS MONDAY RECORD SALES NEW YORK, Oct. 19. Wall Street weathered another exciting Stock Exchange market. Last week’s fever has only slightly abated. Trading was demoralised at noon when a deluge of selling orders sent pivotal issues, including motors, tottering, but powerful interests caused a rally in support of substantial railroad stocks. The total sales of 2,676,300 shares was a record for Monday trading.
