FOURTH PRODUCE CARRIER SAILS
WAIMANA LEAVES AUCKLAND ASSEMBLING OF CREWS J MIXED COMPANIES [Per Press Association.] AU<J£LAND, Oct. 20. Two more British ships, the Waimana and the Otaki, were despatched from Auckland to-day. The Waimana sailed at 6.40 a.m. for Loudon via New York ?.nd Boston, and the Otaki at 4.30 p.m. fcr Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The Wairuana had been loaded for some weeks but her departure was delayed by the strike. The crew now consists of 46 volunteer seamen. She is the fourth British vessel to New Zealand with produce for England since the strike commenced. I’be other three ships were the Rcahine, Arawa and Port Dunedin. The strike delayed the Otaki for jvly 24 hours. She was readv to aaij at 3 pm. ou Monday. However the stokers rtfUised duty and her departure postponed. .
