RESULT OF HALF-YEAR’S WORK In making brief reference to the expenditure of the city for the sixmonthly period ended June 30, the Mayor (Mr Hope Gibbons), at last * nght’s meeting of the Wanganui City Council, said .it seemed to him that they had done well. Ihe unfavourable season had hampered operations, and the engineer and the stall would have to use their best endeavours to make up the leeway—he had all the money required.
