COAL CRISIS
SITUATION VERY GRAVE CRISIS ON JI'LY 31 Received July 23, 11.15 p.m. I>O N IJ ON, July 23. The coal deadlock remains complete. The situation is regarded as very grave. Mr Cook stated that in the absence of the owners’ withdrawal of proposals the Miners’ Federation was proceeding with preparations for a struggle when the notices expire on July 31.
