The sheep stewards met yesterday, [land have suggested the following additions and alterations in the schedule for the forthcoming show, to be held in November next: —

Southdown sheep in natural condition. No cover to be used at any time: 1. Ram 18 months and under. 2. Ram 18'inonths and under (shorn). Two ewes, IS‘months and under. 4. Ewe with lamb (over -IS months land under 30 months). Championship awards to be made in natural condition classes. Eat Sheep ('lasses.--That the follow ing classes be added:—Three fat ewe:* in wool, 18 months hud under. Most profitable sheep, wool and earcase combined. Three fat wethers, long wooled. any age. Weight and quality. Gift Classes, Fat Lambs. — That this cltiss be brought more before* tlie breeders. Promises of support were forthcoming and the sheep Section should be- stronger than ever. J. R. Franklin, Esq., donates a • handsome silver cup for points prize in the fat sheep and lamb classes, same to he won three times in succession, or five times at intervals, the winner to receive >a miniature of the cup as a souvenir. Further trophies of this description would bp welcomed by the sheep stewards, to be allotted to other classes. The various stewards are working hard for their part,icul<ar sections, and their reports will be given later.
