SANDON.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Tho news of the sudden passing of the late Frank Jenkins was received by all who knew him with very great sorrow. The deceased was born iu this district 27 years ago, and spent the most of his lifetime in the vicinity. He answered the call of the Empire and left New Zealand with the 17th Reinforcements. While on active service he was awarded the Military Dfedal for bravery on the field. On his return to New Zealand he married a daughter of Dlr W. J. Peacock, of this towu, who is left with three young children to mourn the loss of a loving and devoted husband. At the Dlethodist Church on Sunday evening feeling reference to the passing was made by the Rev. Neal.
