CINDERELLA OF ROYAL FAMILY
ROLE OF DUKE OF YORK. LONDON, July 10. The Duke and Duchess of York were (the guests of the Australian and Now [ Zealand Luncheon Club at the Hotel Cecil. Premier Ferguson, of Ontario, i was present. j Sir Newton Moore proposed the Duke lof York’s health. He paid a tribute •to the Prince of Wales’s ambassadorial •value in cementing Empire ties. They i looked forward to the time when Aus- • tralia and Now Zealand would be honI oured from the Duke and Duchess of ! York by a visit, whose welcome would I not fall short of that given the Prince of Wales.
The Duke laughingly said that he felt the Prince of Wales had an unfair advantage, because he greeted overseas visitors with a knowledge of them and i their countries. “My wife and I, by our visits to Wembley, are trying to supplement our knowledge, but I am still acting the part of Cinderella, who • was told wonderful stories of the world • which she was not permitted to enter. •However. I entertain a hope that we will yet be privileged to enjoy Aus- • tralia’s and New Zealand’s delightful • hospitality.
