Brown was of the opinion that Purdy would find it very difficult to make a showing against Grime, or others m Ins class Air Jarvis was of the same opinion. Both were satisfied that the, Syd nev public wanted to see only boxers who carried a hard punch I hev thought that the Purdy-Allen match was not a good one. since Allen was not sufficiently experienced to be a reallv hard opponent for the Aucklander 'Mr Jarvis thought Purdy might lie given a light in Brisbane in a week or two, if he decided to stay.
