WIMBLEDON RESULTS LONDON, June 29. Wimbledon tennis results:— Anderson and Lycett beat Washer and Wallenberg, 6-2, 2-6, 7-5, 6-8, 6-3. Miss McKane beat Miss Boyd, 6-1, 6-1. Miss Fry beat Miss Akhurst, 2-6, 6 1. 6-3. Women’s Singles: —Mrs Billout defeated Mrs Mcllquaham, 6-3, 6-3. "Men’s Doubles, first round:— Lamb and Harper beat Von Braun and Stubbing, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2. Second round: Crole Rees and Barclay beat Aitken and Ingram, 8-10, 6-3, 6-4, 3-6. 6-4. Tn the second round of the ladies’ doubles. Misses Harper and Akhurst defeated Aliss St. George and Mrs Melody. 6-2, 6-3. Mixed Doubles, first round:— Dash and Mrs Watson beat Utz and Mrs Utz 6-3, 6-0. Jacob and Mrs Pitt beat Melody and Mrs Melody, 6-2. 6-2. Second round: Gilbert and Miss McKanc beat Fotheringham and Miss Busby. Men’s Doublcs:--Crawford and Fisher entered the last eight, beating Knight and Gregory, 6-1, 6-2, 6-0. Coyhen and Brugnon beat Spence and Kingsley, 6-2, 6-1, 3-6, 5-7, 6-3. Lycett and Anderson had a walk over in the third round owing to Stoll and scratching. In the All-England Plate, Owen beat Fotheringham, 6-2, 6-2. Singles.—Burr beat Utz, 6-4, 6-2. ST. JOHN’S CLUB WINTER COMPETITION. Members and visitors have been attending in good numbers of late, and many interesting games have been played. The silver buttons for seniors and juniors have created great interest, and they have changed round to various winners. Quite a number of the Yankee singles were played over the past two fveek-ends.
