POSITION AT MELBOURNE FIVE STEAMERS LAID UP By Telegraph—Per Press Assn.—Copyright. MELBOURNE, June 27. Following on the refusal of the seamen to man the steamer ChiUagee when a call for a crew was made, the vessel will be laid up. There are now five ships affected. TROUBLES DEVELOPING. Received June 28, 10.10 p.m. SYDNEY, June 28. The latest developments in the waterside trouble were provided by the crew of the inter-State steamer Canberra, who, after being logged for attending a stop-work meeting, just before the ship was due to sail, refused duty, and the steamer was held up. The Commonwealth liner Carina has been laid up owing to the uncertainty of getting a crew.
