GERMANY’S BUDGET
INCREASED TAXES ON BEER AND TOBACCO Received Mav 1. 10.30 p.m. BERLIN, April 30. Germany’s net Budgetary surplus last year was 334 million marks. The Finance Minister, von Schliebon, in his Budget speech in the Reichstag, estimated next year’s expenditure at 1 4900 million marks and the revenue at 14652 million. He proposed to increase, the beer and tobacco excise to meet the > deficit.
