Jersey heifers, £2; ylg. Jersey bulls, £2. JOHNSONVILLE SALE. Messrs. Abraham and Williams Ltd., and Wright, Stephenson and Co. Ltd. report on their Johnsonville sale, held yesterday as follows; There was a good yarding of beef and a heavy penning of sheep. HUNTERVILLE AND MANGAWEKA SALES. The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co.. Ltd., report on their first sales held in the New Year as follows: — At Huntervillc on Tuesday we had a varding of 500 sheep and 80 head of cattle and 20 P’gs- The enquiry for all classes of stock was good, althougn as far as rape lambs were concerned the general opinion was that it was a week or two too early, as the bulk of the rape crops are barely ready. We quote:—4 and 5-year ewes to 30s 2d; 2 and 4-tooth wethers, 32s lOd; medium lambs, small, 12s 7d. A nice pen of wether lambs was passed at 23s 7d. Fat cows, £5 7s 6d to £6 15s; fat heifers, light, £4 17s 6d; forward cows, £3 10s, £3 15s to £4 ss; bulls, £3 15s to £5; 3-year-old bullocks, £6 9s; rough bullocks to £5 12s 6d; 18-uith. empty heifer-;. £2 to £2 ss; weaner pigs, Ils to 16 s.

At Mangaweka on Thursday we had a yarding of 450 sheep and 120 head of 'cattle. The enquiry for sheep was not as brisk as anticipated. Cattle soid fairly well. We quote:—Bost wether lambs to 20s Id; b.f. rape lambs to 20s; 15-mth. Hereford heifers, £3 ss: 18-mth. do., £3 17s fid to £4; 15mth. dairy heifers, 395. FEILDING SALE FAT CATTLE ON PAR WITH LAST SALE STORE SHEEP AND LAMBS ADVANCE. (Per Press Association) FEILDING, Jan. 9. For the first Feilding stock sale of the new year a fair yarding of sheep eame forward. Fats were practically on a par with th P closing sales of last year. All store sheep and lambs sold at prices in advance of closing I rates in 1924. Cattle sold well under free competition at prices on a par with December sale.
