At the Police Court, Margaret Beatrice Bridie, convicted on seven charges | of obtaining money and goods on false pretences, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment. Mr. Poynton said it was puzzling • to know how a woman with such a . bad record could get charge of two ’ separate cottage hospitals in this country within a short time of completing i a sentence in Australia for fraud. | The sentence on the other charges i was deferred.
