A letter xvas rend from the Minister agreeing to retain the homestead area of 150 acres contingent upon the farmers subsidising the scheme. On the motion of Mr A. E. Symes it was decided to inform the Minister that the proposal was not acceptable It is understood that the next development will ho the cutting up of the farm to lease to bona fide farm ers, the accumulated revenue to b' utilised for the purpose of experimental work bcixvccn Wanganui and New Plymouth.
