N.S.W. STATE PARLIAMENT
POSITION REMAINS OBSCURE. Received Julv 8, 9.45 p.m. SYDNEY, July 8. Tae State Parliament opened. Mr Bowser was re-elected Speaker unopposed. The Governor, in his speech, said that until the complex position created at the elections was cleared up he considered it unnecessary to present a programme of legislation in detail. A meeting of Liberals rejected the Country Party’s terms for the formation of a composite ministry, stating that they were out of all proportion to the strength of the Country Party. AETHER CENSURE MOTION. Received Julv 9, 1.20 a.m. SYDNEY, July 8. In the Assembly, Mr McGirr moved a further censure motion, covering a great variety of subjects, including condemnation of the Government for its attitude in connection with the basic wage, State subsidies to denominational schools and orphanages, wheat guarantee and the capital levy.
