ASSOCIATION OF AUSTRALASIA. ANNUAL MEETING. Received July 1, 7.55 p.m. SYDNEY, July 1. At the annual meeting of the Lawn Tennis Association of Australasia the report showed a credit balance of £6OOO. The Davis Cup tour in 1923 yielded the assocation £5201, while the expenses of the team were £2869. It was decided that Australasian championships for 1925 be played in Sydney from January 19 to 30. A motion that in future Astralia be represented in the Davis Cup competitions not more frequently than once in two years was defeated. The mover’s object was to secure that Australia be represented at full strength instead of sometimes being divided under existing conditions. THE WIMBLEDON TOURNEY. Received July 1, 11.20 p.m. (Reuter). LONDON, July 1. At the Wimbledon tournament, in the second round of the doubles, Williams and Washburn beat J. Hildyard and Greig 6—3, 6—3, 6—2. Richards and Hunter beat Okamoto and Hoohhve 6—4, 6—2, 7—5. In the fourth round, Miss McKane beat Mrs Jessup (America) 6—l, 6—3. Miss Wills (America) beat Mrs Colegate 6 —l, 6—o. Mrs Satterthwaite beat Mrs Shepherd Barron 6—4 10 8 These, with Mdlle. Lenglen and Miss McKane, enter the semi-final. In the third round the brothers Alonso beat Dawson and Mavrogordato B—6, 6—3.
