DIET OPENED BY REGENT. TOKIO, June 29. Tho Regent formally opened the Diet. Extraordinary precautions were taken to prevent a recurrence of the untoward incident of last December. The- y’ir.’t formal session will be on July 7, at which the House will record its opposition to the djjcr’minatory nature of the American Immigration Act as a violation of the pricipies of justice and international equality, impairing a long Americo-Japan-eso friendship, and call on the Governnwent take prompt necessary steps to remedy the situation.
