PUBLIC BORROWING
AUSTRALIA TO TAKE CONCERTED ACTION. Received June 29, 5.5 p.m. MELBOURNE, June 29. A meeting of the Federal Loan Council, representing the Commonwealth and all States, decided to take concerted action to stabilise the interest rate of public loans. The Council also ag/eed to a plan whereby the Commonwealth will raise the amounts required by the States in Australia during the year. The meeting was held in camera, and details were not disclosed.
