ST. JOHN’S DAY

Each year, throughout the British Empire, during the month of June, the members of the various branches' of the Order of St. John assemble for church parade. In London it is a very imposing function, and great interest is taken in the procession of the blackrobed Knights of Justice and Knights of Grace, among whom are many of our noted generals and admirals, statesmen. doctors and members of Parliament. Not the least important among those atending the function are the members of the Brigade—the branch of the Order that gives the fullest expression of the Order’s ancient motto:—“Pro utilitate homilium. ”

To-morrow evening a special service will be held at the Anglican Church in commemoration of the Order and its work, and a hearty invitation is extended to all to attend the service.
