VALUABLE ESTATES

CLAIMED BY WORKING MEN. MELBOURNE, June 25. Two working men, the brothers John and Alexander Horrocks, have departed for England, to prosecute claims to the Horrocks’ estates, comprising properties in Wigan district, Lancashire, including the famous Horrocks’ calico business and numerous coal mines, said to be producing an income of nearly a million annually. The brothers have secured funds to make the journey and prosecute their claims by issuing ten pound bonds, entitling the holder to receive a thousand sterling in the event of the claims proving successful. These were freely subscribed. The estate has been subject to litigation for many years.
