COMMITTEE MEETING. A meeting of the above was held or Saturday, when the president (Mr. R H. Crawley) presided over a large at tendance of members. Outward correspondence was re ceived. Inward correspondence was read and dealt with as follows: There resignations were received and accepted with regret, and one was held over pending inquiries. With reference to the appointment of a delegate to attend the A. and P. conference at Palmerston North; this was left in the hands of the president. Accounts were laid on the table amounting to £3B 6s 7d. and were passed for payment. REPORTS. The president reported that he had received all reports from the various sub committees, but it was resolved that these be held over till a subsequent meetings. DATE OF SHOW At a previous meeting Mr. C. Ball recommended that the date of the show be altered to January 22. Mr. Johnston moved and Mr. Winks seconded that the date of the show be changed in accordance with the recommendation. Mr. Johnston said that now the sports club intended altering their date, it would be possible to put on the Caledonian events and still allow Raitihi to be in the circuit. This he considered would be an attraction ar the show. Mr. Jenkins said all things pointed to the need of a change, and there would be no harm in trying it for one year. Mr. A. B. Harris thought it better not to make an alteration. He did not see any advantage, as all stock was in better condition in February. Mr. F. E. McLean said he was opposed to the alteration of date, but the committee had been elected and he was prepared to abide by their decision. Mr. Handley favoured the alteration. On the motion being put to the meeting it was carried. GRANDSTAND. The president reported that a good .'dart had been made with the grandstand, and when the work was resumed it would only take about ten weeks to complete. In respect to the charges to be made at football matches, it was resolved they be as follows: Adults Is, ladies and children 6d. A sub-committee consisting of Messrs Windle. Harris, Johnston, McLean and Jenkins was appointed to look after the matter. SECRETARY. Mr. Angus, retiring secretary, was voted a bonus of £ 5 for services rendered. On the motion of Mr. Handley, seconded by Mr. Bradley, Mr. John Turnbull was appointed secretary at a salary of £52 per annum.
