AERIAL RECORD BREAKER
280 MILES AN HOUR EXPECTED. Received June 10, 8.30 p.m. LONDON, June 9. The Morning Post’s Paris correspondent says: A monoplane on which Sid Lccointc will attempt on Thursday to beat the world’s air speed record, weighs within twenty-eight hundredweight. Its wing surface is fifteen square metres. The motor is 600 horsepower, and it is expected the speed will be 280 miles an hour.
