BACK FROM ASIA MINOR

SETTLEMENT OP GREEK REFUGEES. Received June 10, 8.30 p.m. LONDON, June 10. The Morning Post’s Athens correspondent says: In consequence of an advance of a million sterling from the Bank of England, the work of settling refugees from Asia Minor is being expedited. The original 120,000 agricultural refugee families has increased since the beginning of the year by 20,000, mainly from Pontus and from Bithynia. Out of a total of 73,000 settled in Macedonia, 7400 are from Old Greece. Another 20,000 arc expected before the end of the year. The necessity of the continuance of charitable aid through “save the children” and other funds is strongly emphasised.
