DAIRY FARMERS CONFERENCE

FEDERATION OF PRODUCERS SUGGESTED. PALMERSTON N., June 6. The Dairy Farmers’ Union Conference resolved that the time had arrived to make a definite move for the establishment of a federation of all agricultural and pastoral producers urg ing the conference to take the matter up immediately. The remit was also carried that if the Land Tax continued to be on the basis prior to 1915, and if the Income Tax were imposed instead, that exemptions be granted up to £5OO, but in no cases should both taxes be imposed.
