Messrs R. A. Cuthbertson and Co., whose advertisement appears in this issue, have now severed their connection with the Pukemiro Collieries in order to accept the district agency for the Glen Afton Collieries. The latter colliery wiiich is situated" in the Waikato district (near Pukemiro) has only been operating for about 12 months, but during the past lew months the demand for the coal has increased so rapidly that the colliery is now putting out 600 tons daily. The mine is equipped with the latest mining machinery and has Deen described as the most modern colliery in the Dominion. The local agents have been assured of a regular supply of this coal all the year round.
