DOCK STRIKE AT RANGOON
DELHI, May 6. Work at the docks at Rangoon is practically at a standstill, owing to a strike of stevedores’ coolies demanding an increased pay. Stevedores agreed to an increase, but owing to their existing contracts asked for a postponement for two months, which the coolies rejected.
