Late quotations: Extra choice ox, to 30s per 100 lbs.; choice and prime, 26s to 295; plain and unfinished, 22s to 255; prime young cow and heifer, 24s to 265; other cow, 18s to 235; rough beef, 12s to 17s; heavy prime steers, £ll 5s to £l3 15s; medium, £9 to £11; light, £7 17s 6d; smaller and unfinished, £a 15s to £6 17s 6d; heavy prime cows and heifers, £6 17s 6d to £7; medium, £5 15s to £6 15s; light, £4 to £5 10s; forward cows, £2 10s to £3 17s 6d; poor, £1 5s to £2 ss. Calves.—Less than average. Late quotations: Runners, £3 15s to £4 7s; medium vealers, 36s to 51s; light, 20s to 355; smaller, 13s to 18s; small and fresh dropped, 5s to 10s; rough, 15s to 28s. Pigs.—Smaller yarding. Prices firm at last week’s rates. Choppers, 65s to 84s; heavy and medium baconers, 76s to 89s; light baconers and heavy porkers, 64s to 755; medium and light porkers, 52s to 635; large stores, 27s to 31s; slips, 20s to 265; weaners, 13s to 235. Sheep.—An average yarding sold under steady competition at late rates. Heavy prime wethers, 37s 9d to 38s 9d; medium, 36s to 37s 6d; light, 34s to 35s 9d; smaller and unfinishmed, 30s to 33s 9d; heavy prime ewes, 31s 3d to 33s 9d; medium, 29s to 31s; light, 26s 6d to 28s 6d; inferior fatted ewes, 18s to 255. Lambs were penned in average numbers and sold at late quotations. Heavy prime, 27s 6d to 295; medium, 25s 6d to 27s 3d; light, 23s to 255; unfinished, best, 17s to 225; others, 12s to 16s 9d.
