The committee of gentlemen' had the necessary arrangements well in hand, and the hall presented a pleasant appearance. The floor "was in good order for dancing, and those present had a most enjoyable time. The ladies’ committee provided a most delightful supper, which was appreciated by all, and for which they deserve great praise. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Messrs. Bradley, Murray and Houghton, and these gentlemen were instrumental in seeing all have an enjoyable time. Splendid music was supplied by Wilson’s Mill orchestra and the dancers fully appreciated the beautiful selections played. So delightful was everything that it was fully 3 a.m. before the dancers dispersed, and unanimously voted the Farmers’ Ball of 1924, the best held in Raetihi for some time past.
