WANGANUI DISTRICT NURSING LEAGUE
The usual monthly "meeting of ’he League was held in the secretary’s office on Monday, May 5, 1924 at 3 p.m. Present —Mrs Christie (chair), Mesdames Grant, Spurdie, Reeve Burnet, Silk, Lloyd, Williams and Dudding. Apologies wore received from Mrs. Hair, Mrs. Siddells and Miss Taylor. Nurse’s Report.—The Nurse report ed that she had paid 138 visits during the month: 9 new cases, 10 discharged and one died. Various accounts were passed for payment, to the amount of £1 17s. Donations.—Parcel of old linen from Mrs. S. H. Handley, parcel of clothes from Mrs. Dymock, 5s from Mrs. Silk. Visitors for the month. Mrs. Lloyd and Mrs. Burnet. Blankets. —Mrs. Christie moved and Mrs. Grant seconded that blankets be procured for a special case as requisitioned by Mrs. Hair. The secretary reported to the committee that numbers Of well-wishers of the Nursing League propose holding a ball at an early date in aid of the funds. This action of the ladies and gentlemen is much appreciated by the committee.
