CROQUET

WANGANUI CLUB The Wanganui Croquet Club were favoured with glorious weather for the return match with the Waverley Club yesterday afternoon. On their arrival the visiting ladies were entertained at lunch by the local club. During the afternoon a very dainty tea was provided by the honorary members under the supervision of the Mayoress, Mrs Hope Gibbons, and Mrs Hatrick. Owing to several of the Waverley team having to leave by the train some of the games were not finished. When play ceased the score stood: Waverley 169 points, Wanganui 176 points. DOUBLES.
