MARTON NOTES.
MARTON MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB. (From Our Own Corespondent.) Through the generosity of Mr. J. Hannan in granting sufficient land to enable the club to erect new butts, the Marton Miniature Rifle Club are about to open their 1924 seson on an entirely new range. The building was erected by Mr. G. Jensen, who did everything possible to please the shooters, every detail being worked out with minute care. The lighting facilities were left in the hands of Mr. A. Todd, with rhe result that the shooters have pronounced them perfect. The finishing touches were carried out by Messrs C. F. Gibbons, J. Frederick, C. M. Gronn and C. Lound, who spent much time in careful arrangement. The final result is a splendid range, most up-to-date, and one that will rank with the best miniature ranges in the Dominion. New members are joining up fast and the club looks forward to a very successful year. The opening shoot for the 1924 season is fixed for this (Monday) evening, and the club extends a hearty invitation to the outside public and all those interested in shooting.
