BAND CONGEST. COOK’S GARDENS, TOMORROW AFTERNOON. There is sure to be a very large audience to greet the Queen Alexandra Band to-morrow afternoon. at Cook’s Gardens. Good music is always attractive, and the fact that the band are now playing better than ever, and show additional musical beauty each time they appear in public should make tomorrow’s concert a record one. The publie will have an opportunity of hearing the band go through the contest inarch on the grounds at the conclusion of their programme. This item alone is very interesting. Last year the band gained the possible in music, but were outclassed by a quarter of a point first in drill by the Auckland Artillery Baud. The concert will start at 3 o’clock. A collection will be taken at tho gates in aid of the contest fund. EVERYTHING READY. FOR WELLINGTON CARNIVAL.
