Patho s lieview, Cartoons and the sixth chapj ter of “The Radio King,” will com plete a first rate afternoon’s entertainment. On Monday Lon Chaney will appear in Universal’s eight reel special, “The Shock." Reserves for to-night may be secured at the Grand Theatre, or by ringing ’phones 3152 or 2852. BAND CONCERT ON RACECOURSE, SUNDAY NEXT. The beautiful ornamental grounds of the racecourse will be thrown open to the public to-morrow afternoon, when the Queen Alexandra Band will give a convert. Many complimentary remarks have been made by some of our leading musicians on the excellent showing the band has already made with the contest music, and it is certain that an exceptionally large audience will greet the band on Sunday afternoon. The programme contains all the contest music and many other fine numbers. A hymn composed by Mr. F. AV. Slater, of Wanganui, will be played for the first time, and by request several good old Xmas carols will be included. A collection will be made at the gate in aid of the contest fund. The concert wilt start tit 3 o’clock. “ KISSING TIME ” The J. C. Williamson Musical Comedy Company, which is easily the best seen in Wanganui for a very long time, concluded its Wanganui season last evening, when “Kissing Time” was produced. As in other parts of the world, “Kissing Time” proved a great treat, and the large audience was roused to enthusiasm.
