WANGANUI STEAM LAUNDRY CO. LTD. HARRISON STREET WANGANUI Specialists Phone 2930 in Dry Phone 2930 Cleaning ‘<9 .-'■ _-■?«* ~ , “" i *-Wfer I? The progressive policy adopted by the citizens of Wanganui is demonstrated by the many manufacturing concerns operating in the city, to the long list of which must be added that of the WANGANUI STEAM LAUNDRY CO., LTD., whose premises are situated in Harrison Street. That the management of this enterprising Company (by strict attention to business and turning out work of the highest possible quality) have gained the greatest public confidence, is evidenced by the fact that the Wanganui Steam Laundry Co.’s operations extend as far north as Hawera and residents as far south as Marton, Feilding and Palmerston North, as well as those of many Main Trunk towns are now availing themselves of the unique service offered by this Company. A specialty of the Wanganui Steam Laundry Co., Ltd., is that of Dry Cleaning, and machinery of the most modem type has recently been installed. A large number of hands are constantly employed in this branch of the industry which, being conducted under the most hygienic conditions, must undoubtedly commend itself to the most fastidious. Practically all the laundry work of Wanganui's many Hotels, Hospitals and Colleges is executed by the Wanganui Steam Laundry Co., Ltd., while motor vans are constantly employed in picking up and delivering laundry work of residents in all parts of the city nnd suburbs. For the convenience of patrons and the travelling public, parcels may be left at the following depots:—Ladies’ Rest (Guyton Street), and Keast’s Store (Wanganui East). The Wanganui Steam Laundry Co., Ltd., has just added to its equipment at great expense a “PERMUTIT’ water softening filter (a wonderful apparatus that takes our hard local water and makes it softer than the softest rain water) in order that its many clients may have a higher grade of laundry work than they have ever known before. From now on, the Wanganui Steam Laundry Co., Ltd., will use this “Rain Soft” water exclusively in all its processes (which means that its clients will get a grade of work than no laundry using hard water can equal). This soft-water washing means: —Lighter handling of all laundry work, longer life to shirts, collars and cuffs; linens sweet, fresh and snow white; flannels clean, soft and fluffy; laces and lingerie preserved; comfort, cleanliness and satisfaction. Think what this means to you ! Then 'phone the Wanganui Steam Laundry Co., Ltd., to send for a trial bundle to be laundered the “soft water way.” You'll see the difference.
